Looking for Independence Day fun? Plan a trip to Albuquerque for the Red, White, and Balloons 4th of July celebration, hosted by the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum Foundation on the Balloon Museum lawn. This family-friendly event offers an excellent vantage point for the Freedom 4th fireworks display from the museum grounds.
The festivities will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. and guests can look forward to various lawn activities before the fireworks start around 9 p.m.
The celebration will feature live summer music from Entourage Jazz and DJ Malik, followed by a balloon glow (weather permitting). Attendees will have spectacular views from the museum of the Freedom 4th Fireworks. Additionally, a summer marketplace will highlight local artisans and their products, including festive light-up items available for purchase at the Balloon Museum Shoppe to celebrate the 4th of July.
Guests can bring their own food for a picnic on the lawn or buy meals from the food trucks on site. Those with lawn tickets can bring their own chairs and picnic blankets or upgrade by reserving a cabana tent or table through the museum.
Ticket Prices:
- General admission: $30 for adults 17 and over, $10 for youths aged 10–16, and free for children under 10.
- Lawn “Sweet Seats” are $50 per guest and include a reserved Adirondack chair, a glass of Lescombes sparkling wine, and patriotic cookies from ABQ Sweet Spot, courtesy of Lowes.
- For other ticket prices, including catered indoor seating, a lawn table for 10 or a lawn cabana, visit the ticket page on the museum website.
The Red, White, and Balloons event is a key fundraiser for the Balloon Museum Foundation, with 40 percent of the ticket cost being a donation to support new exhibitions, educational programs, and mission-related operations. Visit the About page to learn more about the museum and the foundation.
