Ride The Cyclone: Teen Edition is an original and darkly comedic musical that follows six members of a Canadian chamber choir whose lives are cut short in a tragic roller coaster accident. Awakening in limbo, the teenagers meet a mechanical fortune teller who invites them to compete for the ultimate prize: a single chance to return to the living.

Through a series of humorous and poignant songs, each contestant argues for their own survival, offering moving insights into the complexities of adolescence and what it means to lead a meaningful life.

This specific edition of Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell’s work has been modified for high school performers while retaining its unique, irreverent spirit, though it does continue to feature mature themes and profane content.

In Spring 2026, Troupe 1096 Durango High School Theatre presents The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later. This production utilizes those original interviews to explore the complex layers of memory, truth, and the enduring impact of a tragedy a decade after the fact.

Ten years after the murder of Matthew Shepard, the Tectonic Theater Project returned to Laramie, Wyoming, to document a town’s struggle with a difficult legacy. They sought to understand how a community heals and reacts when it becomes a national symbol for hate. Through extensive interviews, they captured a portrait of a populace wrestling with its place in American history.
