DJ Jahstone aka Justin Barnett was born in Long Beach, CA on June 21st 1975. After being inspired hearing reggae in some great 80s movies like Club Paradise and Men at Work, he was inspired to purchase his first two reggae albums, Bob Marley’s Rastaman Vibration and Peter Tosh’s Legalize it in 1991. After completing his studies at Northern Arizona University, Jahstone moved to Colorado in 1999, and within 1 year began hosting Eggs Over Irie on KSMT in Breckeneridge. In 2015, KPTE “The Point” brought on the show, and it airs every Sunday, between 10 am and Noon. Eggs over Irie is a mix of Roots, Ska, reggae, dancehall, and modern twists.
